Drysart Summary

Our #1 priority is to make the game better. To accomplish that goal, we spend
most of our time actually working on the game itself. Any spare time we have, we
spend it on the boards.

Now, yes, we haven’t been posting as much lately as we did earlier in beta
and before beta began, but the reason for that is we have a lot of things to
work on with the game. Every minute I spend here is a minute I could be getting
the next patch ready. We’re already a little behind our internal schedule for
the next patch, so bear with us that we’re a little busy lately.

That said, yes, we’re still focusing our energies on the core game engine for
stability. We’re rather pleased with how it’s been holding up so far.


Patching

  • Savant: In response to “patch process stalling”, This seems to be some sort of corrupted data in our patch process that we can’t pinpoint just yet. The odd thing is, only some ISP’s pick it up. The only solution, at this moment, is to try another ISP — I’d recommend quickly trying one of the free ones such as NetZero. A pain in the ass, I know — but what can I say, Beta.
  • Savant: In response to “GeForce problems getting patched?”, The patch should be ready by the end of next week [stated May 17], however, it will doubtfully contain a lot of the fixes for the GeForce problems as we’ve yet to pinpoint them.
  • Savant: Hopefully we’ll be wrapping up the big patch next week and be plugging it in. It’s about 2 months worth of work, so you should see a pretty significant change with various things in the game. As promised I will send out Build Notes via email and on the boards as we near the patch date. Besides that, I thought I’d give you a small teaser to the early June patch with some of the new monsters that are coming [Image available here] [2022 EDIT: TODO FIXLINK].
