The following list of statements are the highlights of issues discussed on the forums over at ‘The Official Site‘ over the past week by Savant and Drysart. No posts made by Willow (QA) resolved any issues, but if theres a feature you’d like to see added to help test, please post here.

Monsters

  • Savant: In response to “Make monsters drop some coins”, This is definately something we’ll be adding. I’m also pushing for monsters to drop “Treasure Chests” where you need a lockpicking skill to open them.
  • Savant: The reason you can currently just walk away from monsters is because we upped the walk/run speeds on characters, but didn’t balance monsters at the time. Walking/running 1 week prior to Beta was even slower. I saw it needed a quick fix, and thus, altered the speeds slightly. Run and Walk speeds will increase even more as we begin balancing, and so will monster speeds this time.


Colony Mode

  • Savant: Colony will be going through a lot of patches and fixes over the next month or so, so until then we’d rather hold off on questions as some things will change.


Patch

  • Savant: The recent patch [fallenage.dat version 0096 (May 9 2001)] simply fixed the Engrish and typographical errors in the first Class Quest (99->100).
  • Savant: Ok, after a long meeting with the design teams, here is the outcome: I had indeed pulled the right EXP numbers for monsters from the current servers. The numbers you see are the MAX you get for each monster — meaning the base EXP plus what you can get from “bonus” damage. Those numbers again are:

    Also, the patch will be in 2 weeks. There were some larger bugs that popped up last minute with Secure Trade and such. I’ll have a rundown on what’ll exactly be included with the patch as we get closer to it.
  • Savant: The next patch (due in roughly 2 weeks) should give you an entirely new/changed map to hunt and do stuff in, Secure Trade, the PK-Jail-Bounty system, and as many bug fixes as we can squeeze in
  • Savant: If you feel bored or that there’s not enough for you to do right now, please take a break and relax. This is Beta. We’ll send out an email with each big patch detailing what went into it, and if any of it interests you, you can return to check it out.


Bugs

  • Drysart: The bug list isn’t an exhaustive database of our entire bug list (yet). It’s main purpose is to cut down on the number of duplicate submissions we receive, as the most-reported bugs will be in that list.
  • Willow: I would like you guys to post a list of features you would like to see in the game. Make sure to let me know if they are beta features that you want to see in the game to help you test or features you would like in the game permanently. Post in this thread.
